IT equipment refurbishment workshop — Algiers
Published on July 8, 2026
Four months in operation, 2,100 machines refurbished and a twelve-month warranty that holds.
The workshop takes in end-of-life estates from public bodies and companies, wipes the drives under a certified procedure, replaces what needs replacing and returns the equipment to service with a twelve-month warranty.
Four months after opening, 2,100 machines have gone out and the warranty return rate is 2.4 %, against the 8 % assumed in the plan. The gap comes from intake sorting, which rejects more machines than expected: yield is lower and quality higher.
The second line in the original plan is deferred until a steady supply is secured, rather than supply arriving in batches.
