Call for projects — water-efficient irrigation, Aïn Defla

The call funds eight conversions to drip irrigation on farms of 3 to 20 hectares. It does not fund equipment alone: every successful application covers installation, commissioning and twelve months of readings.

The readings are the condition, not an extra. A conversion without measurement tells nobody whether the announced saving happened, and that is exactly what the three previous seasons failed to establish.

The application is four documents: the farming title, consumption readings for the last two seasons, an installer's quotation and the plot plan. Selection is by a mixed panel, and all eight decisions are given in writing with reasons.
